Led by passionate local Eric Albanese, this 4-hour guided journey follows Desert View Drive with 4–5 scenic stops. Learn how millions of years of erosion shaped the Grand Canyon, hear stories of early settlers, and keep watch for elk and other wildlife. Travel in comfort with air-conditioning, Wi-Fi, snacks, soda, coffee, and tea aboard a luxury van. Use provided binoculars for close-up views of the Colorado River, Hance Rapids, and the Grand Canyon Supergroup. Midday, enjoy a hearty lunch at We Cook Pizza and Pasta before returning to Tusayan or your lodge. This tour is not wheelchair accessible; dress in layers and wear comfortable walking shoes.

Itinerary

8:30 AM – Pickup from Tusayan hotels or Grand Canyon Village lodges
9:00 AM – Begin scenic drive along Desert View Drive
9:15 AM – First stop at Mather Point for panoramic rim views
9:45 AM – Yavapai Point & Geology Museum
10:15 AM – Continue to additional scenic overlooks (4–5 total stops)
11:15 AM – Lunch at We Cook Pizza and Pasta in Tusayan
12:00 PM – Return transfer to pickup point; tour concludes
