Embark on an unforgettable private journey with Joshua Tree Excursions’ Hike & Climb Adventure. Your day begins at the Joshua Tree office, where you’ll meet your expert guide and fellow guests before setting off into the desert. Along the way, you’ll drive through some of the park’s most breathtaking areas, learning about Joshua Tree’s unique history and geology. Once at the trailhead, your guide leads you on an off-trail hike through canyons, boulder fields, and forests of the park’s namesake trees. Towering rock formations rise around you, offering incredible views and photographic moments. After an optional lunch break, the adventure continues with a rock climbing session led by certified guides. Whether you’re new to climbing or experienced, you’ll receive professional instruction and all necessary equipment. The climbs are tailored to your skill level, so everyone can feel both safe and challenged. Rappelling down the iconic granite walls of Joshua Tree is a thrill you’ll never forget. Throughout the day, your guide shares stories about the desert’s flora, fauna, and culture, giving you a deeper appreciation for this extraordinary landscape. Time permitting, you may visit other notable park sights before returning to the Joshua Tree office to conclude your adventure. This full-day tour combines hiking, climbing, and cultural insights for an experience that captures the very essence of Joshua Tree.

Itinerary

8:00 AM — Meet at Joshua Tree Excursions office; gear up and briefing
8:15 AM — Orientation & safety check
8:30 AM — Drive into the park with guide narration
9:00 AM — Begin off-trail hike into canyons and boulder fields
10:15 AM — Scenic overlook stop for photos and water
11:00 AM — Continue hike to trailhead base of climb
11:30 AM — Gear check and climbing instruction
12:00 PM — Guided rock climbing and rappelling session
1:30 PM — Break for optional trail lunch
2:00 PM — Rock scrambling and exploration of nearby formations
3:30 PM — Visit additional park sights (time permitting)
4:30 PM — Return to Joshua Tree office, debrief and farewell

Starting at $1200 for 2 guests. Each additional guest $425. Groups over 6 require an extra guide for $150. Duration 7–8 hours. Optional meals for purchase. 15–20% gratuity customary.

Arrive 15 minutes before departure at Joshua Tree office; extended tour requires self-arrival (no hotel pickup).
