Description
Experience the thrill of vertical adventure on **Peregrine Ridge**, KMAC’s introductory Via Ferrata in Estes Park. Perfect for beginners, families, and anyone new to mountain climbing, this guided half-day excursion combines excitement, safety, and spectacular scenery.
“Via Ferrata,” Italian for “Iron Path,” refers to a protected climbing route that uses anchored steel cables, ladders, and footholds to ascend steep mountain terrain. On Peregrine Ridge, climbers scale 600 vertical feet of granite using these secure aids while being continuously attached to a fixed safety line. The route features breathtaking views of the Estes Valley and Rocky Mountain National Park, making it a true bucket-list experience.
With instruction from KMAC’s certified guides, guests learn the fundamentals of movement, balance, and safety on rock. It’s physically engaging but achievable for most active guests—no prior climbing experience required. Whether you’re looking for a unique family activity, a team-building adventure, or an unforgettable day outdoors, this climb offers the perfect mix of challenge, support, and discovery.
For those eager to go higher, KMAC also offers **The Cloud Ladder**, Colorado’s steepest and most advanced Via Ferrata route—ideal for returning adventurers ready for the next step up.
