Led by experienced winter naturalists, you’ll explore cedar forests, mountain valleys, and frozen waterfalls blanketed in snow. Along the way, your guide points out animal tracks and shares stories of Glacier’s history and winter ecology. Midday brings a stop at the shore of Lake McDonald—one of Montana’s most photogenic winter settings—for photos, hot drinks, and a chance to simply take in the vast beauty before continuing to high viewpoints along the Continental Divide. Whether you’re a first-timer or an experienced snowshoer, this tour offers the perfect balance of adventure, tranquility, and shared joy in one of America’s most stunning winter landscapes.
Itinerary
9:00 AM — Meet guides and gear up at Columbia Falls base
9:30 AM — Transfer to Glacier National Park trailhead
10:00 AM — Begin snowshoe trek through cedar forests
11:30 AM — Stop at frozen lake for photos and hot drinks
12:30 PM — Lunch break in snowy meadow
1:30 PM — Continue to scenic overlooks and mountain views
3:00 PM — Group photo at Continental Divide
4:00 PM — Return to trailhead, conclude tour
Price & Availability
Individual $400 (solo). Group of 2+ $225 per person. Groups of 8+ $162 per person. Includes guide, gear, and interpretation. Tours run Dec–Mar, 9 AM–4 PM.

Meet at Glacier Adventure Guides office, 24 7th Street West, Columbia Falls. Arrive 30 minutes prior.
