Get your first taste of outdoor climbing on this beginner-friendly adventure with Kent Mountain Adventure Center in Estes Park. Led by AMGA-certified instructors, the **Taste of Rock Climbing** is a 3–4 hour introduction that teaches the fundamentals of climbing movement, knots, belaying, and rappelling—all on real rock.

Your guide will choose the perfect climbing area based on your group’s size, experience, and comfort level. With exclusive access to more local sites than any other operator, KMAC can offer a range of climbing locations—from short beginner routes to fun, scenic cliffs overlooking the Estes Valley. The focus is always on safety, learning, and having fun.

Participants of all ages are welcome, and no prior climbing experience is required. Whether you’re looking for a family adventure, an empowering group outing, or a solo challenge, this guided climb offers a supportive environment to learn and explore.

For those who catch the climbing bug, KMAC also offers extended 4-, 6-, and 8-hour private climbing days, as well as specialized courses in leading, multi-pitch climbing, and technical skills.

7:00 AM — Meet your guide in Estes Park for introductions and gear fittingn7:30 AM — Travel to local climbing area (short drive from town)n8:00 AM — Safety briefing and instruction on knots and belay systemsn8:30 AM — Begin climbing with hands-on guidance from your instructorn9:30 AM — Practice rappelling or additional climbs suited to your abilityn10:30 AM — Wrap up, debrief, and optional group photosn11:00 AM — Return to Estes Park and conclude experience
