Description
This Everglades Safari is a comprehensive journey into one of the world’s most unique ecosystems. Lasting approximately six hours, the day is divided into two immersive adventures guided by naturalists who know the Everglades intimately. The first portion explores the “river of grass” by boat, offering sightings of alligators gliding silently through the water, turtles basking in the sun, and flocks of herons, egrets, and spoonbills in flight. Guests step ashore for a scenic walk through cypress and mangrove habitats, learning about delicate ecosystems and seasonal changes. After a break, the second part of the safari dives deeper with opportunities to kayak or ride pole boats through quieter backwaters. Migratory birds (December–April) add an unforgettable highlight. Stories of the Gladesmen bring cultural depth to the natural wonders, creating a living tapestry of history and environment. With opportunities for photography, wildlife observation, and cultural learning, this safari offers an unmatched perspective on the Everglades.
