Start your morning at Vortex ATV Rentals in Cottonwood, where your UTV will be prepped and ready for a rugged 9 AM departure. Follow detailed trail maps through the high desert landscape, where sandstone ridges, canyon overlooks, and glimpses of the Verde River create a photographer’s dream. After your ride, enjoy lunch or shopping in Old Town Cottonwood before heading to the OAC Boathouse for your afternoon kayak tour. After a short safety orientation, shuttle to the TAPCO River Access Point and embark on a 3.1-mile guided paddle through one of Arizona’s two designated Wild & Scenic Rivers. Your guide shares insights on local ecology and wildlife as you glide between canyon walls, spotting eagles, herons, and other native species. This four-hour combo is perfect for couples, families, or small groups looking to experience Arizona’s desert and river in one unforgettable day. 8:45 AM – Check in at Vortex ATV Rentals for safety briefing 9:00 AM – Begin self-guided UTV ride through scenic desert trails 11:30 AM – Return to Cottonwood; lunch or free time in Old Town 1:00 PM – Check in at OAC Boathouse for kayaking prep and safety instructions 2:00 PM – Shuttle to TAPCO River Access Point 2:15 PM – Launch for guided 3-mile kayak tour down the Verde River 4:15 PM – Return shuttle to OAC; conclude adventure
