Description
The Trout Float Trip offers a memorable way to experience East Tennessee’s most beautiful tailwaters while enjoying the thrill of guided fishing. With a maximum of two anglers per trip, this private outing ensures personalized attention and a relaxed, unhurried pace on the water.
Your day begins at the river dock, where you’ll meet your guide and board a comfortable fishing boat designed for smooth floats down calm stretches of river. From the moment you cast your line, you’ll be immersed in an environment that is as peaceful as it is rewarding. Surrounded by mountain views and flowing water, the Smokies provide the perfect backdrop for a day of fishing.
Depending on conditions and your preference, trips may explore well-known trout waters such as the Holston, Clinch, or French Broad Rivers. These tailwaters are home to brown, rainbow, and brook trout, along with the occasional striped bass that adds excitement to the catch. With the help of your guide, beginners and experienced anglers alike can sharpen skills, try new techniques, and increase the odds of a trophy catch.
All equipment is included—rods, reels, tackle, and safety gear—along with light refreshments. Guests need only bring a valid Tennessee fishing license, available online or at local outfitters. Your guide handles the rest, from navigating the river to providing local insights on fishing conditions.
Trips are available in multiple lengths, allowing you to tailor the adventure to your schedule. Half-day floats are perfect for those seeking a quick escape, while full-day outings provide ample time to cover more water and maximize your chances of success.
Whether you’re a first-time angler or a seasoned fisherman, the Trout Float Trip delivers more than just fishing. It’s an opportunity to connect with nature, enjoy quiet moments on the river, and create lasting memories in the Smokies.
