Yellowstone’s winter transforms into a photographer’s dream, where geothermal steam meets snow-covered meadows and wildlife stands out against white backdrops. On this private guided photography safari, you’ll travel with a seasoned photo-naturalist through Yellowstone’s most picturesque regions, including the northern and southern ranges (conditions permitting). Guests learn expert techniques in exposure, composition, and wildlife tracking, with stops for hands-on instruction at scenic pullouts and wildlife-rich valleys. Each tour adapts to your experience level—whether you’re refining professional skills or simply want to capture unforgettable memories. Expect sightings of bison, elk, moose, coyotes, eagles, and possibly wolves. With catered lunch, hot beverages, and hotel pickup included, this experience blends education, adventure, and the stunning beauty of Yellowstone’s winter landscapes.

Itinerary

7:00 AM — Pickup from Bozeman, Paradise Valley, Gardiner, or Mammoth
8:30 AM — Begin photography and wildlife tracking in Lamar Valley
10:00 AM — Stop for landscape and geothermal scenes
12:00 PM — Catered lunch and hot drinks in the field
1:00 PM — Afternoon session focused on composition and lighting
3:30 PM — Scenic and wildlife photography opportunities
5:00 PM — Return to pickup location
