Experience Yellowstone’s quieter side on this full-day guided snowshoe safari. Outfitted with snowshoes, poles, and all necessary gear, you’ll travel through meadows, river valleys, and forests under the guidance of professional naturalists who interpret wildlife signs and share stories about Yellowstone’s unique ecology. You may spot tracks of bison and wolves, hear the call of a raven echoing across a canyon, or see the flash of an eagle above. The group enjoys a catered picnic lunch and warm drinks while pausing at scenic overlooks. With an emphasis on sustainability and education, this adventure balances activity and reflection. Perfect for beginners and nature enthusiasts, it’s a chance to experience the magic of Yellowstone’s winter landscapes at your own pace.

Itinerary

7:00 AM — Pickup in Bozeman
7:45 AM — Pickup in Paradise Valley
8:30 AM — Pickup in Gardiner
8:45 AM — Pickup in Mammoth
9:15 AM — Arrive at trailhead; snowshoe fitting & orientation
9:45 AM — Begin guided trek through forest and meadows
12:30 PM — Picnic lunch with hot beverages
1:30 PM — Continue snowshoe safari, wildlife & ecology interpretation
4:00 PM — Return to trailhead
5:00–6:00 PM — Drop-off at pickup points

Price & Availability

$350 per guest (ages 8+). Two-person minimum. Up to 8 guests per vehicle. Operates Dec–Mar. 50% deposit required. Full refund up to 14 days prior.

Catered picnic lunch, snacks, and hot/cold beverages provided.

Instructions

Pickup from Bozeman, Paradise Valley, Gardiner, or Mammoth. Confirm meeting point 24 hours prior.

Restrictions

Minimum age 8. Moderate fitness required for walking 3–5 miles on snow. Weather-dependent. Not wheelchair accessible.
